Data
Exported CSV
Every file here is produced by 12_download_all_free.py from free, openly licensed sources. The exports carry a uniform schema so files from different sensors and different sites can be stacked without reconciliation.
Nothing exported yet. Run the downloader on your own machine, then upload the CSVs into
data/ on the server. This page lists whatever is physically present, so it
will populate itself as soon as the files arrive.
cd 01_Scripts
python 12_download_all_free.py --all
# then upload 03_Data/free_exports/*.csv → public_html/data/
# and optionally import 03_Data/free_exports/downloads_manifest.sql in phpMyAdmin
Export schema
Every algae export uses the same columns, whichever sensor produced it. That is the whole point — five sensors, one schema, no reconciliation step.
date YYYY-MM-DD
site chakaria | matlab | dhaka
sensor s2 | s3 | landsat | modis | ocean
res_m native metres, so you can weight or filter by resolution
chl_index site-average chlorophyll index for that sensor
ndci fai phyco turbidity individual indices where the sensor supports them
bloom_frac fraction of the water mask above the bloom threshold
water_px water pixels the average was computed over <- YOUR QC COLUMN
aoi_water_km2 water area observed
cloud_frac fraction of the AOI lost to cloud on that pass
n_scenes scenes contributing to that date
The filled daily panels add
source_sensor, fill_method, observed and
n_obs_28d — see Methods.
